Welcome to New Horizons!  A ministry for the 50+ crowd at Mount Calvary Church. As we get closer to being empty nesters and retirement, we are entering a new season with new experiences on the horizon. 

Join us the third Wednesday of every month (Sept - May) for a time of encouragement, food, and fellowship starting at 10:30AM  at the Ministry Center (45 Veterans Drive Elizabethtown) 

Doors open at 10:00AM for fellowship.


Lunch will be served ($5 recommended payment)



Special Saturday Edition

The Civil War

New Horizons will be hosting a special Saturday program in October for those in the 50+ community that may not be available during the week. Join us on October 24, 2026 for a special Saturday meeting of New Horizons. We will be hearing from Glenn Bachert, a Civil War reenactor as he shares about the Civil War from beginning to end.

Save the date for these exciting programs. Unless otherwise noted, we will meet at the Mount Calvary Ministry Center at 45 Veterans Dr. Elizabethtown. The doors will open at 10AM for fellowship with the program starting at 10:30. We would love to see you there!


Note our October program will be on a Saturday to include those not normally able to participate during the week.  We are also looking forward to a Christmas Carol Sing to kick off advent and a Game Night coming in July!

Join us on September 16, 2026 when we will hear from Lisa Sanchez, a Senior Naturalist from the Lancaster County Parks Department's Environmental Education Center as she shares with us about monarch butterflies.

Hope's Haven Youth Camp

Our November meeting for New Horizons will have a missions focus as we learn more about Hope's Haven Youth Ranch in Bainbridge, PA, a faith based, nonprofit that seeks hope and healing for both children and horses living with trauma. Come hear about  how you can support this ministry.

Carol Sing

New Horizons invites the church to join us for a Christmas Carol Sing to kick off Advent. Join us in the Mount Calvary Church Sanctuary on Sunday Evening, November 29 for some of your favorite Christmas Carols and cookies.  Bruce Neyer will lead us in worship as we take a meaningful step back into the rich tradition of classic carols.
