Our Staff


  • Matt has served as the Lead Pastor since July of 2018. Prior to serving in his role at Mount Calvary, he worked as the Next Generation Pastor at Burke Community Church in Northern Virginia. He holds a Masters of Theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and a degree in Bible and Communications from Cedarville University. His heart’s desire is that everyone would hear the truth from God’s Word, have a relationship with Christ, and live a life transformed because of it.


    In his free time, Matt loves to spend time with his wife Ashley and their kids Caroline, Truman, and Jack along with the family dogs, Buster and Ruby. Matt loves anything having to do with the Atlanta Braves and Clemson Tigers. He also enjoys smoking meat on his Big Green Egg, reading, watching sports, spending time with friends, and drinking the best cup of coffee in town.

  • Jonathan joined the staff as Youth Pastor in April 2004 after pastoring five years at Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church in Sunbury, PA.  He graduated from Cedarville University majoring in Bible with an emphasis in Christian Education of Youth.  In July 2021, he became our Executive Pastor overseeing church operations, Family Ministry, staff and congregational care, and our missions’ program.  During his years at Mount Calvary, it has become home and he is excited to use his gifts and abilities to help our staff and ministries encourage others to have faith in Jesus and follow Him with their lives.


    Jonathan is married to his high school sweetheart Dana, and they have three children, Haley, Zachary, and Wesley.  He enjoys watching football and basketball with his family, tinkering with technology, and drinking Starbucks Chai.

  • Joe began serving as the Student Pastor in July 2021 and is looking forward to building deep relationships with the students at Mount Calvary and encouraging them in their walk with their Savior, Jesus. Prior to serving at Mount Calvary, he worked as an Associate Pastor at Immanuel Church in Massachusetts. Joe holds a Masters of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. 


    When not spending time with students, he can be found spending time with his wife, Ashley, and their two kids, Isaiah and Lydia. Joe is an avid sports fan (Go Philly sports!), mildly proficient golfer, and loves ice cream.

  • Ray joined the staff in August of 2015 after spending over 5 years at Bethel Baptist Church in Manheim, PA. Ray holds degrees from University of Louisville and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He is married to Morgan and they have three children: Andrew, Catherine, and Abby.


    As a senior in high school, Ray became a follower of Christ after a classmate told him about Jesus’ love for him. Because of how God has used other followers of Christ to love and encourage and challenge him, Ray loves helping others connect and build relationships where they can grow in their love and knowledge of God and love for others in community.  Ray would be thrilled to talk to you about plugging into a Community Group or about board games, or both!

  • Elizabeth has been part of the Mt Calvary Church family for over 15 years and has served in various women’s and children’s ministries during that time before beginning her role on staff in January 2019.  Most recently she has been responsible for helping people find their place in life and ministry through the PLACE experience at MCC.  She holds a master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University and is currently working on certification from the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors.  In addition to her responsibilities at MCC, she also serves as a client advocate for Lebanon Pregnancy Services.  She and her husband Phil have two sons and two dogs.  Her life verse is Matthew 9:26 “But with God all things are possible.”

  • Melissa joined the staff in June of 2017 after several years of teaching at Mount Calvary Christian School and being a stay at home mom. She loves children's ministry because she has a crazy passion for kids! She loves hanging out with them, talking with them, teaching them the Bible and pointing them to Jesus! She wants the Bible to come alive to every child so they can experience a personal relationship with Jesus.


    Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Bible and Early Childhood Education from Lancaster Bible College. She is married to Jason and they have three children. She loves to bake, decorate her house, organize things, and hang out with her family.

  • BJ began serving as Worship Leader in the spring of 2006 and was hired on the church staff shortly thereafter.  Prior to joining the church staff part-time, BJ served as a volunteer in the many aspects of the music ministry since he began attending in 1997.


    BJ has played guitar for most of his life and enjoys playing acoustic and electric guitar and electric bass. BJ earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering from Pensacola Christian College, while simultaneously studying Bible courses during each semester of his college years.  BJ enjoys the outdoors, camping, hiking, trail-running, and the various sports associated with triathlon--open water swimming, cycling, and running.  BJ is married to Amy and they have two adult daughters, Kathleen and Emily.

  • Ryan joined the staff as a part-time Director of Worship in July of 2021. Prior to being on staff, he had attended Mount Calvary Church for ten years where he regularly volunteered in the worship ministry primarily by playing violin and guitar. He was also given the opportunity to lead worship on occasion. Ryan graduated from Millersville University in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education and from Wilkes University in 2012 with a master’s degree in Classroom Technology. He currently works at Hempfield High School where he teaches math while daily seeking to be salt and light. Ryan is the advisor of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes club at his school.


    Ryan and his wife Amanda have been married since 2009 and have three children, Abbie, Lucas, and Caroline. Aside from enjoying time with his family, Ryan’s favorite hobby is to play golf. He also enjoys watching sports (particularly when they are from Philadelphia), completing home improvement projects, and keeping up with his former students.

  • Jared embarked on his role as Superintendent of MCCS in the Spring of 2021, but has been an integral part of the school framework for quite some time. In the 10 years leading up to his acceptance of the Superintendent role, Jared has served as Assistant to the Superintendent, Advancement Director, Athletic Director, and coached multiple sports. 


    Born and raised in Elizabethtown, Jared is a 2004 alumnus of MCCS, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Administration from Cedarville University, and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. 


    During his time at Cedarville, Jared met his wife Katie and together they have been active members of MC Church, and have served in areas such as Community Groups and College ministries. Their three children, Annie Clara, and James are all enrolled at the school. In his free time Jared enjoys athletics, Penn State football, and spending time with his family.

  • Leah began her role as Ministry Assistant in October of 2021 and is excited to enter new areas of ministry at Mount Calvary Church. Previously, Leah has been involved in Children's, Women's, and Care Ministries at the church and also serves as a Trustee at MCCS.


    Leah holds a Bachelors of Science in Bible from Clarks Summit University where she attended alongside her husband, Jim Sintic. They moved to the Elizabethtown area in 2007 when Jim accepted a teaching position at MCCS. Jim continues to teach Health and PE at the school and serves as the Assistant Athletic Director. Their two children, Gabby and Hudson, also attend the school. Prior to coming to her current position, Leah worked as a freelance writer and loves to read, write, and catch up with friends over a cup  of coffee. In her spare time you will usually find her attending the sporting events of her children, husband, or in the community.

  • Kelly serves all ministries of Mount Calvary as the Accountant, serving through Payroll, Payables, Benefits Administration, Budgeting, & anything else related to ministry finances.  Kelly also serves on the Sisters in Faith team, on the School Finance Committee, as a leader in The Well, and as a Prayer Partner for the MOMs ministry.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Elizabethtown College where she met her husband, Jay.  


    Kelly & Jay started attending Mt Calvary Church over 30 years ago as an engaged couple looking for a church home in the Elizabethtown area.  They have 2 sons & 2 daughters who have all graduated from Mount Calvary Christian School.  Kelly’s favorite part of serving at Mt Calvary is knowing that her gifts, talents, and skills are being used to further the kingdom of Christ in many different parts of the world through missionaries, MCCS alumni, and congregation members.

  • Jason joined the Mount Calvary Church staff as Director of Upward Sports in April of 2015. He is passionate about making sure the Upward program is done with excellence. Jason loves seeing the players grow in their athletic ability and get solid biblical teaching during the Upward season.  Jason enjoys being active and hanging out with his family. He's a big fan of old cars and superhero comics.

  • Tom, who grew up on the south side of Lancaster, has been a part of the MC Church staff since 2008 and loves to serve alongside the people of MCC. He is a well-known face at both the Church and School, and has been a member of the varsity boys soccer coaching staff since 2009.


    Tom is a Business Administration graduate of Pensacola Christian College, and he and his wife Angie have been married for 26 years. Their four children, Nathan, Noah, Katelyn, and Brayden have all been students at MCCS, and in recent years they have also welcomed Nathan's wife, Kaitlyn, to their family. 


    When not working or coaching, Tom is a regular attender of his kids' sporting events and he also enjoys traveling.

    Morgan rejoined the staff for the second time as a part-time ministry assistant in September 2021 focusing on supporting adult ministries. She graduated from the University of Louisville with a Master’s in Engineering and currently holds a Professional Engineer’s License as a Civil Engineer. She also has an Advanced Certificate of Ministry Studies from the Seminary Wives Institute through Boyce Bible College. She worked for the US Army Corps of Engineers before moving to Pennsylvania and becoming a stay-at-home mom. She has since worked for both Mount Calvary Christian School as a substitute teacher & Physics teacher and Mount Calvary Church as the interim Children’s Director.


    Morgan is married to Ray Stuart, the Connections Pastor, and together they have three children, Andrew, Catherine, and Abby. She teaches our Tuesday morning Women’s Bible Study. She enjoys crocheting and playing board games in her spare time.
