  • What Is operation christmas child?

    Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. It is their mission to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. They ship these gifts outside of the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S.


    This is not aid, but a gift to children who don’t normally receive it, for the purposes of spreading the gospel message to unreached or under-reached areas of the World.

  • How Can I Help?

    Several ways you can participate! 


    Pack a Shoebox
    Pick up a shoebox in the church sanctuary, pick a target age and gender, and stuff it to the brim with quality toys, school supplies, hygiene items and at least one item that will make the child go WOW! Make sure to pay the $10 shipping online so you can track where your shoebox ends up!

    Completed shoeboxes can be brought to the Church Lobby on Sunday morning, November 12.


    Contribute to the Packing Party

    Contribute Items:
    A collection bin will be located at the OCC table in the Church Lobby on Sunday mornings starting Sunday, October 15th through Sunday, November 12th. 


    Contribute Financially (covers items or postage):

    Checks can be made payable to Mount Calvary Church with OCC as the memo designation and placed in the Sanctuary offering boxes.
